Immigrants throughout history have contributed to the rich fabric of Hawai'i. Each successive immigrant group arriving in Hawai'i has brought their hopes for freedom and safety. Many of our parents' and grandparents' first experiences in the United States were clouded by discrimination, intolerence, and abuse. Yet, they never abandoned their determination to make a better life for the future. They stood together in the face of discrimination, founded small businesses, organized unions in work places, and established schools, churches, and cultural centers. Promoting the interest of all people living in Hawai'i, Na Loio works to protect the civil rights of newly-arrived and long-time resident immigrants and refugees by providing immigration legal services, community education, and advocacy.

Founded in 1983, Na Loio offers a full range of legal services, community education, and advocacy for those who are among the poorest, most vulnerable members of our community.
